Intelligent strategy deserves sure-footed implementation

Since its founding, Eera has become well known for its skill in implementing strategy. We have realised strategy implementation projects in dozens of companies and have won a reputation by employing a practical methodology that helps all levels of the organisation to commit to the chosen strategy.

In August 2010, Eera conducted an interview survey on the implementation of strategy in Finnish companies. The survey showed that 78% of company leaders see the need to develop the implementation of strategy. Responsibility for implementing strategy remains, as a rule, on the operational level, but even so only 40% of middle management understand the content and justifications of their company's strategy. Operational management lacks the methods, time and resources for goal-directed implementation of strategy. Only 30% of companies put the implementation of strategy on a concrete footing. The most important tool in strategy implementation consists of information bulletins and briefing sessions.

Our survey shows that 78% of companies want to make their strategy implementation more effective. Eera's work as an implementer of strategy is based precisely on this work. We build commitment by helping the organisation understand both the need for change and its own role in it.

The strategy process is launched by reviewing the present state via stakeholders. The Eera-led process produces an analysis of the present state, describes the target state and charts a course between them.

After the strategy implementation process, the fulfilment of the strategy is authenticated by comparing the target state with the experiences of stakeholders.
